The Digital Health Contracts Law Blog is authored by Kristie Prinz, a digital health contracts lawyer who has been practicing for more than 26 years in Silicon Valley, California.

Kristie’s legal practice focuses on providing legal services related to digital health contracts and transactional matters and to advising digital health companies on digital health law issues. 

Prior to launching The Prinz Law Office, Kristie was in the licensing group of the highly regarded New York-based intellectual property firm of Pennie & Edmonds LLP in Palo Alto, California. Kristie started her legal career in Atlanta, GA.

Kristie is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Georgia.

EDUCATION

Kristie is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee, where she received her J.D. in 1998, and a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she received a B.A summa cum laude in Political Science and Spanish in 1995. She also studied as an undergraduate student at the Universidad de Nebrissenssis in Madrid, Spain in 1993.

BUSINESS AND LEGAL AFFILIATIONS

Kristie has been actively involved in numerous professional organizations during her legal career. Kristie founded the Life Sciences Advisors Group, which is a professional network of more than 130 life sciences services providers nationwide. She also founded the Silicon Valley Software Advisors Group, which is a professional network of more than 350 software service providers nationwide. Kristie is also a longtime member of the Bay Area chapter of ProVisors, where she is active in the Silicon Valley Mergers & Acquisitions Affinity Group, the Silicon Valley Lawyers Affinity Group, and the East Bay Lawyers Affinity Group. Her past service includes the Executive Committee of the High Tech Section of the Santa Clara Bar Association and the Programs Committee of the Science Technology Section of the American Bar Association, the Advisory Board of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society, serving on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners Silicon Valley Chapter, serving as Chair of the Programs and VOIP Committees of the Science and Technology Law Section of the American Bar Association, serving as co-chair of the Telecom and Intellectual Property Subcommittee for the California State Bar’s Cyberspace Committee of the Business Section, and serving as Copyright Licensing Subcommittee Chair for the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section. Kristie’s other service includes serving on the Cyberspace Committee of the Business Section of the American Bar Association, the Corporate IP Management and Copyright Committees for the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the Fundraising Committee for the Entrepreneurs’ Network in Santa Clara, and the Life Sciences and Entrepreneur Venture Catalyst Program planning committees for the Women’s Technology Cluster in San Francisco, CA.
